The agent of Partizan Belgrade defender Stefan Savic has confirmed the interest of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Chelsea are understood to be ready to bid for the youngster in January.
Shay Chen said: "Arsenal tried a blitz in the summer, but there were some problems with the work permit for moving to England and could not sign him.
"While I was overseas for a few weeks the interest of Chelsea was recorded, with John Terry and Alex sidelined.
"Carlo Ancelotti is looking for a young defender and have decided to prepare the ground for Savic."
