Connor Wickham's agent has not ruled out a potential transfer to Italy in the near future.
The 21-year old Sunderland striker is being linked with Serie A club Lazio and although his representative David Manasseh could not confirm the interest of the Roman side, he said his client was open to any possibility.
"I can't confirm Lazio's interest because I personally haven't been in contact with them," Wickham's representative reflected," Manasseh told Calciomercato.it.
"We've had to comply with FIFA regulations, which requires us to wait until February 1.
"Renewal or sale in January? These are the choices that belong to Sunderland. All I can say is that Connor is doing fine with the Black Cats.
"Would he like to play in Serie A? All options are open. We won't rule out anything."
Wickham, who comes out of contract at the end of the season, has made 10 Premier League starts under Gus Poyet this season for one goal.
