Spanish agent Josep Maria Minguella says Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez should be a Barcelona player today.

Alvarez has been one of the big success stories at the World Cup and is preparing for today's final with Argentina.

City signed the striker in January from River Plate ahead of him eventually moving to England in the summer.

Speaking on Esport3, Minguella revealed he offered the striker to Barca before January.

Minguella presented alleged text messages in which he offered the Argentine striker to Barça directors. But he never had the impression that Barça were interested in the player.
