The agent of Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic says manager Jurgen Klopp wants to keep hold of the Serb.
After a season-long loan with Hertha Berlin, Grujic has completed preseason with the Reds, but was expected to be returning to Germany for the new campaign.
Hertha were keen, along with Borussia Monchengladbach.
But Grujic's agent Fali Ramadani says Klopp has been impressed enough over the past month to decide to keep hold of his client.
"Liverpool want to keep him. That may change in January at the earliest," he told Kicker.
Grujic has a contract with Liverpool to 2023.
