Argentine agent Jose Alberti says Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi could already be a Liverpool player. And he reveals Liverpool remain keen on the attacking midfielder.

"Two years ago," said Alberti, "I oversaw a meeting between the leaders of Liverpool and Napoli. We discussed a possible deal to bring Lavezzi to England.

"Nothing happened, but I know specifically that the English club still has great interest in the player, especially after the performance of this season.

"I am of the opinion that if they fail to increase the contract of El Pocho, after this season we could see him go."
