The agent of Dries Mertens insists he wants to stay with Napoli.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to England.
“Mertens is a top player, and wanted by several clubs," Massimiliano Capparoni admitted, speaking to Radio Crc.
“However, Napoli are not currently in talks with anyone, and I don't think there will be any problems with him staying in Naples.
“Obviously the transfer market is ever-changing, but the player doesn't want to leave a city which has taken him to its heart.
“If an important offer came in, then Napoli would evaluate it. The price of the player is dictated by the market, and there may have been some interest from Inter, but at the moment there are no negotiations.
“Mertens is happy to stay at Napoli, so at the moment there are no problems there.
“Mertens would like to start the project with [new Coach Maurizio] Sarri, then along the way we'll have a better idea of what the Coach wants to do technically, and everyone will have a better idea where they stand."
