The agent of AC Milan defender Thiago Silva has played down interest from Chelsea.

Both Thiago Silva and Milan teammate Alexandre Pato were linked with a £70 million move to Chelsea earlier this week.

But Paulo Fernando Tonietto told calciomercato.it: "Thiago Silva is very happy at Milan and wants to fulfill his contract. Moreover, (Milan vice-president) Adriano Galliani says he is not for sale and he is the boss.

"I can only say that (Chelsea manager) Carlo Ancelotti knows him well. I think Thiago Silva is the best defender in the world and these stories are further proof of his good work this season."
