That hasn't impressed agent Antonio Caliendo, who told Sky Italia: "We are waiting on this ultimatum, but it makes us neither hot nor cold," he said. "There seems to be a lack of respect towards the player. If it's true about the ultimatum, they should contact us.
"The offers certainly aren't lacking, Manchester City out of everyone, but the way things are going Maicon is staying at Inter unless there is an extraordinary turning point.
"As far as I am concerned they should apologise to the champion because after everything he has given Inter we need to have a certain care, the President should at least dedicate a minute of his time to speak with the player.
"I have tried to keep the player far from the polemic after a tiring year. He needed to completely recharge his batteries.
"I hope to have a meeting with Inter so I can relay a message from the player - that he would prefer to meet up with his team-mates who are already in Italy and not on tour in North America."
