The agent of Max Meyer has slammed Schalke for their handling of new contract talks.
A target for Liverpool and Arsenal, Meyer is now in talks with foreign teams about a pre-contract as his current S04 deal runs down in June.
S04 chief Christian Heidel confirmed last week they'd sent emails to Meyer's camp with the outline of two offers to renew before declaring the player was now "exploring the market".
Agent Roger Wittmann has laid the blame at the feet of Heidel over the way he conducted negotiations.
He told Sky Deutschland: "Two e-mails are not enough to convince a young Schalke player to commit."
