The agent of Lazio striker Mauro Zarate has played down talk of a move to Sunderland.

Zarate, himself, has talked up the prospect of joining Paolo di Canio on Wearside this summer.

But Luis Rizzi told TMW: "I believe that it is possible to find a new club in Europe. A return to the Premier League after the experience of Birmingham City? The English league is one he likes, but it's premature to talk about a transfer.

"Lazio still has his contract until 2014."
