Departing AC Milan veteran Rino Gattuso is unlikely to join Rangers.

Gattuso has spoken of returning to his old club.

"There are many Italian and foreign clubs interested in Ringhio," agent Andrea D'Amico told Calciomercato.it.

"The road that takes him to Rangers is very difficult, because the Scottish club cannot sign new players older than 18 for a year.

"In any case, Gattuso is a champion and will certainly find a club."
