Advocaat not bothered by manner of Sunderland wins

Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat insists he is not at all worried about how his team wins, as long as they produce positive results.

The Dutchman's first game in charge of the Black Cats saw the Wearside club lose 1-0 at West Ham United on Saturday which leaves them just a point clear of the relegation zone and in desperate need of some victories.

"I said the only important thing in the final eight games is winning, the way that we do is not important, so if we win games very ugly I like that, play very negative if the need is there," Advocaat said.

"I have seen a team who likes to work, so I am pleased. It showed that if you work as a team and not an individual, I am sure that you get the luck you need.

"Now I have time to see my best line up."
