Freddy Adu picked up a minor ankle injury in Belenenses recent 1-0 loss to Nacional in Portugal.

The 20-year old was making his first league start on Monday for his loan club but had to be substituted at half-time because of the problem.

Despite the minor setback, Adu is confident he will bounce back quickly.

"picked up an ankle injury before half. should be ok in a couple days. im a quick healer," he wrote on his Twitter page.

Adu is on a season-long loan at Belenenses from rival Portuguese club Benfica.
