Adidas come on board with Orlando City

Major League Soccer (MLS) expansion franchise Orlando City SC have announced Adidas as the merchandise retailer for their new downtown stadium, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The German sportswear giant will oversee all merchandise sales at the Orlando Citrus Bowl, Orlando SC's current home, during the 2015 season when the team debuts as an MLS franchise.

From 2016, when the team's new home is slated to open, Adidas will then operate the 19,500-capacity downtown venue's retail outlet, which will be the first in-stadium store in the MLS.

"Orlando City is once again raising the bar by becoming the first MLS club to partner with Adidas on a stadium store," said club founder and president Phil Rawlins.

"The marriage of Adidas as one of the world's preeminent soccer brands with Orlando City and our new downtown stadium is further testament to the type of club we are establishing in the 'Soccer Capital of the South'."
