Adelaide United's Galekovic: I have done all I can

Adelaide United goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic believes he has done all he can in regards to a call-up to the Australian World Cup squad. The 28-year old shot-stopper, who this season won his second successive A-League Goalkeeper of the Year award, has been in brilliant form of late and is in with a top chance of being added as the Socceroos' third keeper for the finals in South Africa.

Galekovic is of firm belief that he has done everything in his power to convince national team coach Pim Verbeek that he should be on the plane in a few weeks time and is now just waiting for an answer.

"It is getting close and obviously I kind of want to know if I am in or out," said Galekovic.

"Six months ago I had to take it a game at a time but now I have almost done all I can - just wait and see what happens.

"It would top off the last couple of years. To be in that kind of squad would be amazing. If I do get in I will take it and enjoy the experience.

"I think there's a few guys still in the mix. It will be a very close decision.

"It's out of my control but hopefully some good news comes my way."
