Former Inter Milan defender Lele Adani has released an audio message left by Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi before their Europa League win against Ajax.

Adani is close to De Zerbi and chose to make the audio public to highlight the joy of football and competition.

Adani's words:

"12.23pm yesterday afternoon, Thursday of the Europa League: a friend sends me a message. In my opinion, in this note there is a lot of the secret of the magic of football, which is renewed day after day.

"Last night this my friend, who I proudly call Brother, saw that his team achieved their first victory in Europe. The values are renewed once again and travel in symbiosis with his football.

"I wanted to share it with you, because I have always been convinced that good generates good and special people are always needed by others too and it is right that their profound thoughts, not always but sometimes, are shared even if they arise from private conversations. With our emotions we can generate new emotions. It's the beauty of life, and of football. Congratulations Roby."

De Zerbi's audio:

"Hi Lele, I'm walking around the city with a hat and glasses so no one recognises me. How nice it is to see small children on the day of the match walking with their shirts, scarves, already waiting for the match.

"I got goosebumps, you dirty b*h. If one had to think only about that, how can you play badly, miss a tackle, finish second or not try a dribble with malice in the head?

"What a thing football is, at 44 years old I'm still in this state. Hi Lele, I wanted to tell you who understands this. You and a few others."
