Adams tells Ramsey: Arsenal bigger than Juventus

Arsenal legend Tony Adams has told Aaron Ramsey he's taking a step down to join Juventus.

Despite the Old Lady winning seven consecutive league titles, and having two European Cups in their trophy cabinet, Adams feels they aren't nearly as big as Arsenal.

Adams said: "Why would you go to Juventus anyway? They're a smaller club than Arsenal."

Juventus moved for Ramsey with his current deal running down, as Arsenal opted not to increase their final offer to keep him at the club.

Adams played for the Gunners during a glory period where the club arguably had more pulling power in the transfer market than they do now.

He added: "It's a different game and a different club to when I left in 2002.

"We would be challenging. The Juventus players would be signing for us.

"Aaron Ramsey is too good to let go, and to not be an Arsenal player forever."
