Tony Adams has agreed a new one-year contract with Portsmouth.
Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie said: "I have spoken to Tony's agent and it has been verbally agreed for him to stay for another 12 months.
"Obviously we are delighted with this news as he has become a key part of what we are trying to achieve at this football club.
"It is important to keep the whole set-up. Tony, Joe Jordan, Dave Coles and everyone else are a team and Harry likes working with them.
"They have worked very successfully together and the manager wants them all to stay.
"It's great news that this partnership will now continue."
