Adam convinced Liverpool can make top four return

Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam insists they're capable of finishing in the top four.

Adam, 26, is both realistic and optimistic about Brendan Rodgers' prospects of succeeding where Kenny Dalglish failed in delivering qualification for the Champions League.

"We finished eighth last season and that's where we deserved to finish," said Adam.

"Maybe people will say we deserved more and if we had enjoyed just a bit more luck in some of our games, we would have finished higher.

"The table never lies and we simply weren't good enough to get higher than eighth. But that's gone now. We've got a new manager, who has new ideas - and the feeling here is that we can do much, much better."
