AC Milan are seeking to prise Zlatan Ibrahimovic away from LA Galaxy - permanently.

Rather than take Ibrahimovic on a short-term loan in January, TMW says Milan chief Leonardo wants to sign the Swede outright.

A six-month contract worth €1.5m is on the table, with the option for a longer arrangement should Milan qualify for next season's Champions League.

At 37, Leonardo is banking on Galaxy granting Ibrahimovic a free transfer rather than having to spend on a fee to take him away from the US.
