AC Milan scout Cesare Maldini has confirmed their interest in Palermo defender Simon Kjaer.

Maldini revealed: "Kjaer? AC Milan has not just been following him, but several defenders across Europe.

"If Carlo Ancelotti gives his approval, the player could arrive in Milan.

"He's a dynamic performer and has all the qualities to play for a club of the highest level."
