AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has reaffirmed his confidence in striker Alberto Gilardino.

"We won't sell Gilardino," said Berlusconi, reacting to reports of a move to Fiorentina for the frozen-out striker.

"Don't believe what you read in the newspapers. Selling Gilardino has never entered my mind."
