AC Milan patron Berlusconi still upset with manner of Juventus draw

AC Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi was bristling over the manner of their draw with Juventus.

The former Italian Prime Minister was in the stands for Saturday night's 1-1 draw, which saw both teams have perfectly good goals disallowed.

"We did not agree with the decision to suspend Zlatan Ibrahimovic for three games, robbing us of his presence against Juve," Berlusconi told journalists.

"Ibra was only guilty of a little tap and the judges should've taken into account that this match was putting the two protagonists of the season against each other. It would've been opportune for each side to have their best men available.

"As for the goal, I am more disappointed than angry. The result was falsified by that incident. If we'd gone 2-0 up, the situation would have been very different.

"Was the referee conditioned by Antonio Conte's comments during the week? I really think so, yes. In any case, it was a mistake and I absolutely do not want to believe in a plot against Milan.

"I have a great deal of faith that Milan can win the Scudetto, because our mission is to be stronger than envy, misfortune and injustice. Milan had the right to a positive result.

"The goal that wasn't given was absolutely clear for all to see, even without the photographs and video evidence. I have always encouraged the use of technology in football and it would be opportune for referees to have the option of watching the replays in big decisions.

"The Sulley Muntari incident confirms that technology in football would lead to less injustice in football."
