AC Milan battled to a 0-0 draw with Chievo Verona on Sunday.
Sinisa Mihajlovic's assistant Nenad Sakic spoke to the media afterwards, with the head coach suspended from the dugout.
“We did not play a bad first half," insisted assistant manager Sakic on Sky Sport Italia.
“We knew Chievo were a very organised and physical side. We should've attacked them more, but we didn't run any risks at the back.
“In the second half we did decidedly better, even if we were unable to make the most of the many chances we created. We even hit the woodwork twice in the same move, so you have to say we were unlucky.
“The attitude was positive, we tried to win and were just unable to do so. We should've run harder and been more clinical. There are nine games left and we hope to pick up as many points as possible."
