AC Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini hopes to play his way back into the France squad.
The 26-year-old has not played for France under Laurent Blanc but is excited about what the future might hold for Les Bleus and wants to be a part of it.
He told skysports.com: "I am having a very good season so far, hopefully I will continue to play like that.
"Hopefully that will help me join Les Bleus' squad for future games, although Laurent Blanc has never called me on the phone.
"To be honest I would join the national team with great pleasure. That team has the potential to be amongst the best again in the next big tournaments."
