AC Milan hero Andrei Shevchenko says coach Stefano Pioli should remain in charge next season.

Shevchenko has dismissed over Pioli's future.

He told Sportmediaset: "Pioli's season is a good season, Milan are in the running for fourth place, they reached the semi-final of the Champions League.

"Pioli is a great coach for me, last year he won the Scudetto playing very well, I hope he continues like this."

Shevchenko also admits he's a fan of Rafael Leao.

"Leao is an important player, let's hope he stays, I read that Paolo Maldini said he's staying. Rafael can grow even more I know Paolo very well, he will do everything to strengthen the team together with (Ricky) Massara, you have to believe in them."
