AC Milan director Maldini talks Zlatan, Donnarumma and Bakayoko

AC Milan director Paolo Maldini insists they're working on re-signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swede remains off contract, but Maldini is confident of securing him to a new arrangement.

He said at today's club media conference: "We are working during to reach an agreement. We will get to the heart of the season in 20 days, we know well that it will be a short preparation and our idea is to close Ibra in a tight deadline.

"It is normal that there should be a plan B, even C and D, but we have priorities and Ibrahimovic is our priority."

On Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, Maldini also said: "It is a negotiation, we know him and we appreciate him. He is one of our objectives, the modalities are still to be studied 100%."

On Gigio Donnarumma, Maldini concluded: "It is a problem because we have reached the last year of the contract but it is also right to try to resolve the Zlatan issue and then renew Gigio, we are confident that he wants to continue with us.

"There is a sort of concern because it is the last year, but we are ready to make offers appropriate to his value."
