Reports in La Gazzetta this morning stated that the Australian international had signed until 2010 in a deal worth around £2.5m, but the Rossoneri refute this.

"Once again, La Gazzetta dello Sport is notable for its inaccuracy," a Diavolo statement reads.

"The figures and the terms of the contract were wrongly published and showed a lack of knowledge.

"If the person who wrote this had been better informed, he would have given his readers better information. Now, we have to point out the mistake to the Milan fans."
