AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer admits he's come close to moving to the Premier League in the past.

Kjaer has been linked with the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United during his career.

"I have been close a few times, but I have always loved the warm weather and the good food in the south, so in the end it has been the right choice for me and my family," said Kjaer.

"Of course it would have been interesting, but you never know what's going on. Things can change really fast, but I am at a point in my career and in a club where I am honored and happy to be.

"It has been a dream for me for many, many years. I enjoy being at AC Milan and hope to stay there for many years, but England have been close a few times."
