AC Milan icon Alessandro Nesta has agreed a deal with Montreal Impact.

Corriere dello Sport says Nesta has agreed a 12-month contract with the MLS expansion club.

Nesta, currently on holiday in Miami, was being linked with a transfer to New York Red Bulls but no approach was made.

Impact striker Marco Di Vaio convinced Nesta about the move. They've been friends since their days together in the Lazio youth team.
