Matteo Gabbia is delighted with his move to Villarreal.
The defender has joined Villarreal on-loan from AC Milan.
Gabbia said: “I am very happy, I want to thank the president of the club for the opportunity and the trust. When he called me Villarreal I was eager to come. For me it's a great opportunity to play in La Liga and I'm really looking forward to it.
"I spoke to Daniele Bonera, he gave me excellent advice because he knows the team very well. I also asked him for advice on daily life, it was a great help to know what Villarreal is and everything has been positive.
"Now I have to do my best. Playing for Villarreal is a challenge. Liga and Serie A are different leagues, but in the end the game remains the same. You have to try to win matches and be competitive.
"I am very grateful to the coach because he is helping me a lot. I am very happy with what I have found, and I think with the ability to improve very soon."
