AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli has admitted some frustration over the latest injury news for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic has been ruled out for another month by a soleus muscle strain.

“It was a strange day, as we were convinced he could recover in time to be in the squad tomorrow and even play a few minutes, then this happened," said Pioli in his press conference.

“I am very disappointed for him, because he was so eager to return.

"He'll be back stronger than ever and we have alternatives who can play. Ibrahimovic's injury will not change our transfer strategy, although if there is an opportunity to improve the squad, I'm sure the club will evaluate it."
