AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is proud to be in the Champions League quarterfinals.

Milan survived an Arsenal fight back to win 4-3 on aggregate this week.

Galliani said: "I'm still in shock about what happened last night. But I'm also very happy. If we were eliminated then it could have had a great repercussion for our League championship.

"For the 12th time [during Silvio Berlusconi's time as President] we have reached the last eight in Europe and this shows how great Milan have been under Mr Berlusconi.

"It is not Europe without Milan. I'm convinced that Milan should always be among the best eight teams in Europe."
