AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists fans should not be unhappy with UEFA Cup qualification.

After victory over Inter, Galliani said: "Our happiness is contained. Fiorentina in the last two years have always qualified for the Champions League and I do not know what will happen this season.

"One thing is certain, whoever comes fifth will not have failed. All the great European clubs sooner or later end up in that Cup. It's a competition which is worth less, but is not a tragedy."
