AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani admits Xavi's Mum blocked the Barcelona star's move to the San Siro over ten years ago.
In 1999, he was on the verge of accepting a move to the Rossonero side of the San Siro - before his Mum threatened divorce should he make the switch!
"We had basically signed Xavi," Vice-President Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.
"However, the operation was not completed for family reasons - his mother got in the middle of it."
