AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with their 2-1 victory over Siena.
Pippo Inzaghi and a Kaka penalty was enough for the Rossoneri and Ancelotti said: "It is not important to be in front of Inter.
"What does matter is being in a strong position and that on Sunday we have the opportunity to overtake leaders Napoli.
"Everyone in the team did their duty, but it was a difficult game. We had a fairly sluggish start and then picked up the pace.
"I saw the right reaction after Siena drew level. I have to say we played better than against Atalanta and are clearly improving."
