AC Milan boss Ancelotti blasts back at Brazil doctors

AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti has hit back at criticism from Brazilian medical chiefs over the treatment of Ronaldinho and Kaka.

"I have not yet spoken to Kaka and I want to know what he thinks about it, as often incorrect messages have come through from Brazil," said Ancelotti.

"In medical terms everyone is free to act as they see fit, there is no imposition from the club on the choice of doctors or physiotherapists. At most we give advice and the player then decides."

Carletto added: "Usually when a Coach is interested in the condition of his players, he picks up the phone and asks.

"I have never received a call from Dunga about my - not his - players. [Italy Coach Marcello] Lippi often does it and Dunga can call me whenever he likes.

"Ronaldinho was out for a month and of course he needs to train hard to get back into shape. He needs to put the effort in to recover quickly and with consistent work his condition will improve."
