AC Milan boss Allegri happy to hand Thiago Silva captaincy

AC Milan coach Max Allegri was happy to hand the captaincy to Thiago Silva for their win over Chievo Verona.

Allegri admitted after the game to having sought advice on taking the decision.

"I spoke with Galliani and it seemed fair to give the armband to Thiago, no disrespect to Pato."

Vice-president Adriano Galliani also confirmed in a light-hearted manner how the decision was made.

"With Allegri I had this idea that was...original. He had already taken the armband for Brazil so we gave it to him too. We did not have a lot of imagination…"
