AC Milan boss Allegri excited to be working with Cassano

AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri is excited by the arrival of former Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano. Allegri has told club officials that he'll be the only January addition required for a side that is currently top of the table.

"It's nice that I'll get the chance to train Cassano," Allegri told Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday.

"Great players can adapt to any situation and all he needs to do is place himself at the disposal of the dressing room.

"Where will he play? We'll carry on with the 4-3-1-2 system, but he could play as the first striker seeing as Pippo Inzaghi is injured.

"More arrivals? I don't think we'll need anybody else, otherwise there will just be too many of us in a squad where there is great harmony and, above all, the desire to make sacrifices for the team."
