Chelsea legend Didier Drogba is being linked with a stunning return to Stamford Bridge.
The Ivorian is being mentioned as a potential replacement for former technical director Michael Emenalo after his resignation on Monday.
Drogba is currently playing in the USA with Phoenix Rising.
While current club chief Marina Granovskaia is expected to fulfill much of the duties Emenalo carried out, Blues legend Drogba could yet be brought back into the fold.
Drogba has plans to move into a sporting director role once leaving the pitch and is a firm favourite of Blues owner Roman Abramovich with the two said to still be "extremely close", says The Sun.
Though in Phoenix, Tribalfootball.com has been told Drogba is fully committed to the Rising project as they seek entry into MLS.
