New Barcelona football chief Eric Abidal is eyeing a move to Lyon captain Nabil Fekir.

Fekir was expected to join Liverpool a fortnight ago, but the move fell through after a medical raised doubts amongst the English club's doctors.

Mundo Deportivo says that hasn't put off Abidal, who is a big fan of the attacking midfielder.

Abidal believes Fekir's style suits Barca's system and he could arrive to fill the void left by Andres Iniesta after his departure for Vissel Kobe.
