Christian Abbiati has been unsettled at AC Milan over their deal for Genoa goalkeeper Marco Amelia.
SportItalia says Abbiati was on the phone to Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani yesterday upon learning of their move for Amelia.
Abbiati sees himself as Milan's outright No1 and doesn't like the idea of having to compete with Amelia for first-choice status.
With only a year left on his contract, it's now mooted Abbiati may seek to be released from his deal.
That would leave Milan having to find cover for Amelia, with Marco Storari and Nelson Dida having already departed in recent days.
