A-League officials to decide Constantine's penalty

A-League officials need to decide how they will punish Newcastle Jets owner Con Constantine after he threatened Jets fans on Sunday.

The millionaire verbally lashed out at fans who held banners in protest against him and although he admits his actions, believes he had the right to defend the club as its financial backer.

The A-League along with Football Federation Australia will have to come up with a reasonable penalty for Constantine, most likely a fiscal sanction.
