5 Serie A Players Your Premier League Club Should Sign

The Premier League and Serie A both have similar physical requirements whilst also maintaining an affinity for 'ballerina-esque' players who dictate the flow of games with their trickery, range of pass, composure and all round technical ability.

Here at Tribal we take a look at Serie A players with a variety of skillsets your Premier League club should sign in the Summer transfer window.

Andrea Belotti - Torino

Position: Striker

Age: 23

Belotti's reputation experienced a steady rise at the start of the 2016/17 Serie A season due to his goalscoring exploits for II Toro and his rooster goal celebration.

He established himself as one of Europe's top marksmen last season scoring 26 league goals in 35 League games thus prompting a host of clubs to enquire about his services.

The likes of Arsenal and Manchester United expressed some early interest in signing Belotti but both clubs were put off by Torino's £100m valuation of the 23-year-old.

The Gunners instead opted for French goal machine Alexandre Lacazette whilst United went for a relatively cheaper option by modern day super rich club standards and a safer bet in the form of Romelu Lukaku who cost them in excess of £75m.

Belotti's hefty price tag coupled with the lack of available main striker roles in the Premier League's top six leaves only Chelsea and Liverpool as potential suitors.

Antonio Conte is looking to offload Diego Costa whilst Jurgen Klopp seems keen on utilising an out-an-out striker next season in a bid to maximise his side's goalscoring potential.

Chelsea are more likely to sign him, but as things could change as the transfer window progresses as we've seen already with deals like James Rodriguez moving to Bayern, Dani Alves moving to PSG and even United pulling out of the race for Morata.

Milan Badelj - Fiorentina

Position: Defensive Midfielder

Age: 28

Milan Badelj has become a household name at Fiorentina since he signed for the club in 2014. His composure and eye for a pass has seen him rated as one of the best midfielders in the Serie A.

He regularly features as a defensive midfielder due to his high work rate and tackling ability, although he's also capable of taking up a holding midfield role.

Badelj has been linked with a move to the Premier League over the past two seasons with Chelsea and Tottenham making subtle attempts to acquire his signature.

He's currently valued at £11m in the transfer market which means he'd be affordable to just about any Premier League side looking to bolster their midfield.

Keita Balde Diao - Lazio

Position: Winger

Age: 22

Lazio have a real gem on their hands in the form of Keita Balde Diao - too bad he could be snatched away by a Premier League side this summer.

Keita is blessed with blistering pace and technical ability. He was a real revelation for Lazio in the 2016/17 season scoring 16 goals in 31 appearances (21 starts) en route to their Europa League qualification.

Liverpool are currently looking into the possibility of signing the 22-year-old, but with Tottenham also showing interest, it looks like both sides could be caught up in a bidding war.

Keita's base valuation is reportedly £21 but with multiple Premier League teams keen on his services his transfer market value is sure to rise during the course of the summer window.

Jorginho - Napoli

Position: Defensive Midfielder

Age: 25

Napoli lit up the Serie A with their free flowing attacking football last season.

The Partenopei's midfielders went relatively unnoticed (bar Marek Hamsik) in Europe with Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon getting most of the plaudits for their form in front of goal.

Jorginho served as a fulcrum in Napoli's midfield last term, distributing the ball and moving intelligently into different channels in a bid to create space for the attackers.

The 25-year-old started 27 Serie A games last term making three assists.

He's a similar player to Tottenham's Moussa Dembele as he's technically proficient and capable of taking on a variety of roles in the middle of the park.

The Italy international would be a stellar addition to a team like Everton who look set to make a big leap into the top six when the 2017/18 season commences.

Kostas Manolas - Roma

Position: Centre-Back

Age: 26

Kostas Manolas is regarded as one of the best defenders in the Serie A, and with good reason given he's manned Roma's defence since 2014 in their quest to usurp Juventus' crown.

Roma have made some progress on that front, albeit insignificant with Juventus' great spell of dominance showing no signs of stopping.

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly interested in the Greece international who nearly signed for Zenit St. Petersburg a month ago.

Manolas has all the qualities required to line up in a Premier League side's back four.

He's got pace which enables him to keep up with attackers, he's also quite strong and highly capable of getting into a physical battle with just about any player.

Chelsea and United would need to act fast, though, with Manolas emerging as a possible replacement for Leonardo Bonucci at Juventus.
