Arsenal have swiftly changed the shirt number of new signing Granit Xhaka.
The Swiss international joined the Gunners from Borussia Monchengladbach in a £35million last week and was presented with the number 16 jersey.
Aaron Ramsey had vacated the shirt to take up departing captain Mikel Arteta's number 8, leaving Xhaka to be the new no.16.
However, a couple of posts on the North London club's Twitter account indicates that the 23-year-old will now wear the number 29 at his new club.
Well this is slightly awkward… https://t.co/NkCipwOsEIhttps://t.co/LdkKt7M086
