West Ham assistant coach Billy McKinlay is happy seeing Liam Manning in charge of Bristol City.
The two clubs meet in the Third Round of the FA Cup today.
McKinlay said: "He was here the first time we [McKinlay and David Moyes] were here and did a good job with the under-23s.
"He's moved on and had a couple of managerial jobs in which he's done well. He's not long in at Bristol City, he's finding his way and in the last few games they've hit a bit of form.
"He'll obviously be looking forward to coming back here after spending a fair bit of time here as a coach. It'll be a big day for him."
