Real Madrid have cut loose Lucas Silva from his contract.
The 26-year-old is now free to negotiate with any team, despite the transfer window having shut on Monday night.
In the coming days, Silva hopes to sign for another club in Europe.
Silva joined Real Madrid from Cruzeiro in the 2015 January transfer window, during Carlo Ancelotti's spell in charge of Los Blancos, for a fee of €15m.
Silva's contract was set to expire in June 2020, but both he and Real Madrid believed that his best chance of finding a new club was to do so as a free agent.
