Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was proud to lift the Club World Cup trophy on Sunday.
Kashima Antlers took the game into extra-time before Real won 4-2.
Ramos said: “Every time that I have the opportunity to win a title with Real Madrid it is a dream come true. I had already won the Club World Cup but did not have the pleasure of lifting it. Personally I am very satisfied and as a team we deserve to win the Club World Cup. We are rounding off the year as we wanted. It is a reward for the hard work and effort we put in last season.
“Obviously I did everything i could in order to feature in today's game. Perhaps I wasn't at my best but physically there was little more that I could do, but i coped up until extra time and gave my best. It was worth it to come here and lift the trophy."
