Birmingham's young talent Jordan James is attracting interest from around Europe.
Crystal Palace made an attempt to sign the 19-year-old midfielder in the winter.
However, The Sun states that such a bid was rejected, even though Palace would have loaned James back to City.
Now they are attempting to get the deal done ahead of the summer transfer window.
Italians Atalanta made a bigger bid in January and were also turned down by Birmingham.
James has already netted eight goals in 31 Championship games so far this term.
