Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler is being linked with a return to Australia with the Newcastle Jets.
The Mirror says former Liverpool legend , who spent the twilight of his career in the A-League playing first for North Queensland Fury and then for Perth Glory, is said to have made contact with the club, following the sacking of Mark Jones at the weekend.
According to The Australian , the 42-year-old expressed his interest to the newspaper, claiming during a SMS conversation: "I would be interested if everything was right."
Previously, his only experience in the dugout was a short stint as a player-manager for Thai side Muangthong United, where he retired in 2012.
